As per the instructions by the Andhra University on the directions of Andhra Pradesh, a seminar on Two Digit Development was conducted at 11: 00 am at CRT Hall II, Chemical Block on the occasion of the Krishna Pushkaralu August 2016. Seminar on Physical Literacy

As per the instructions by the Andhra University on the directions of Andhra Pradesh, a seminar on Physical Literacy was conducted at 02: 00 pm at Centre for Communication Skills, G-III, G- Block on the occasion of the Krishna Pushkaralu August 2016 hosted by the Dept. of English & Humanities & Physics. Effective Approaches and Strategies in Language Teaching to Engineering Students

A Seminar was organized by the Dept. of English and Humanities on September 5th 2014 at Centre for Communication Skills (G-1) on Effective Approaches and Strategies in Language Teaching to Engineering Students. The resource person of the event Prof. K. Nirupa Rani Garu former Vice Chancellor of Adikavi Nannayya University shared her knowledge on the techniques of using an insightful teaching to impart understanding to learners. This practice, according to her can develop of creative strength of mind and practical proficiency of the student. Further the professor laid emphasis on the importance of classroom activities for the overall improvement of one’s skill set allowing students to build their own knowledge. The vision of the new syllabus formulated by the University for this academic year for the Engineering students was also elucidated in this regard.

Emerging Trends in Research Methodology in English Language and Literature

A Seminar was organized by the Dept. of English and Humanities as a part of FDP program on June 19, 2014. The resource person of the event Dr. A. R. N Hanuman shared his views and ideas centered on “Emerging Trends in Research Methodology in English Language and Literature” where he provided insights on the range of techniques and procedure one can espouse in the process of carrying out research. He also cited a series of Standard journals for research publications, Refreshment courses for professional improvement, guidelines and planning for preparing for UGC- NET and other useful inputs involved in classroom teaching that may help creating a positive impact on students consequently making the teaching-learning process interesting. He also elucidated that continuous advancement and knowledge renewal for the faculty members is essential which would improve their teaching skills.

In second session of the day Ms. Rupa Vemuri, HOD, Dept. of English and Humanities provided insights on fundamental ideas and information on writing a standard research paper. Knowledge about writing bibliography suitably was made comprehensible and practical experiences were shared. This seminar of knowledge sharing and communication was well received by all the faculty members of Dept. of English and Humanities.
